Light, refreshing, AMAZING!

We decided to keep Independence Day small- just family. Our children are still young and can’t make it to stay up late enough for fireworks. So for us the best thing is just to stay in have family over for a BBQ, drink and relax.

I was browsing through my Pinterest boards and saw a drink that looked too yummy to pass up.

I had to go to the store to pick up a few finishing touch for our meal so while I was there I decided to also grab what I needed for this drink. Continue reading

Vanilla Chocolate Chip Meringues

Our GFCF cookie jar was empty and again I was looking for a cookie that not only my daughter and I could enjoy but also the whole family.

I remembered I had a container of egg whites in the fridge from a recipe I had made the week before.

Egg whites are the main ingredient for one of my favorite cookies- Meringues!
They are a great pallet for many different flavors and mix ins. They are also natural gluten/dairy free.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Cookies

My neighbor makes home-made strawberry jam. Let me tell you it is absolutely AMAZING!!! This year he was kind enough to give me a container of it. 🙂

Since they were so sweet to share I decided to make them some cookies in appreciation.

I had been wanting to make peanut butter cookies that my daughter and I could eat (Gluten and Casein Free) so I decided to make a double batch.

Even better than peanut butter cookies I decided to use some of the fresh strawberry jam to make peanut butter and jelly cookies!

Now if you don’t have a neighbor that brings you fresh strawberry jam- don’t let it stop you. Any kind of jam will do.

For these super yummy peanut butter cookies you’ll need Continue reading

DIY Laundry Room Redo

Two years ago my husband and I realized that our starter home was now too small for our growing family. We more than doubled our square footage simply because we got a great deal and we didn’t want to have to move again because a house was too small.

I will never understand why builders make these large homes yet make the laundry room the size of a Cracker Jack box. Now when we were looking at the house the Laundry Room seemed small but still ok until we put our new HE washer and dryer in.

All of a sudden the Laundry Room held the washer and drying and left only a small walkway from the entry door, pass the machines and to the garage. Continue reading

Sweet Incredible Banana Bread- Gluten Free

image

I was walking through my kitchen and noticed I had 3 very ripe banana’s in the fruit basket.
The first thing that popped in my head was banana bread! Oh how I missed banana bread- I hadn’t had any since I went gluten free 3 years ago.
I decided it was time to change that. I was going to have banana bread and so was my daughter!
I had basically just placed an order for a gluten free, dairy/casein free banana bread and now I had to figure out how to do it. Continue reading
